This is an aerial picture from 1982 of the site of Merstham House looking East along Gatton Bottom to its junction with the A23 below St Katharine's - the house stood where the trees now stand between the lane and the motorway on the right of the picture.

Saturday 19 January 2013 15:40:00. Just off the photogragh, top right, where the A23 crosses the M25, there used to be a large pond where we used to fish for frogs spawn. |
