Standing outside is William Winchester publican in the doorway on the right his wife Mary Jane nee Elsey with her mother Jane.

The older gentleman with the dog is Abraham Elsey who was publican of the Fox, Norwood Hill. William Winchester later became publican at The Holmsdale, Reigate.
